China-ASEAN Business Council

The China-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) is the China-ASEAN business cooperation dialogue mechanism authenticated by the Chinese government. The inaugural meeting of the CABC was held in November 2001. China’s then Premier Zhu Rongji and Indonesian then President Megawati Sukarnoputri attended and announced the establishment of the CABC.

Led by the CABC, the inaugural meeting of the RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee composed of representatives of business communities of the 15 RCEP members states was held in Beijing in April 2021. Mr.Xu Ningning, Executive President of CABC, and the commercial officials of the embassies of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand in China, started the inaugural ceremony of the committee which was witnessed by the ambassadors of relevant ASEAN countries to China. Mr.Xu Ningning serves as the Chairman of the RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee.

At present, CABC is actively helping Chinese provinces, cities, industries and key enterprises to develop new economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN and RCEP member states.
